Edna Maye Price was born on September 24, 1942, to William T. and Lillian M. (Jones) Lowe in Springfield, Ohio. She attended Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, Ohio where she excelled in academics and was a member of the synchronized swim team. She attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln earning her Bachelor’s’ Degree in Education. She had several careers across the United States, which she fought for persons with disabilities to receive the education and civil rights they deserved. In her free time, she enjoyed observing nature, writing, drawing, and reading. Her two daughters remember their mom teaching them the importance of respecting nature and how to twirl spaghetti on a spoon. Edna passed away on March 10, 2024, in Seward, Nebraska. She is survived by her daughters, Devonna Leslie Price Edstrom of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Kelley Christina Price of Ladera Ranch, California; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christian, Hannah and Jevon Edstrom, and Jack and Nicholas Maggetti, and her four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Eva Simons.
